Welcome to Carina

RectangleHello and welcome to Carina!

When my grandmother needed help with meals, getting around the house and to doctors’ appointments, my mother struggled to find the right home care aide for her. My mom was providing 24 hour care at that point. It was clear the home caregiver search added stress and time consuming as they searched for an agency that had caregivers that spoke the same language, were empathetic and lived nearby.

Most families have similar stories of their search for support. It doesn’t have to be that way.

At Carina, we believe finding a trustworthy, reliable home caregiver should be easy. And free.

One click on Carina, and we do the work for you - contacting multiple not-for-profit home care agencies with available licensed home care professionals. Within 2 business days you’ll hear from someone ready to help you choose a trusted, trained home care provider who's right for you or your loved one.

A lot of people ask how we can offer this service for free. Unlike for-profit matching services, Carina is a technology not-for-profit organization committed to prioritizing people first and strengthening communities. We are funded in part by the King County’s Veterans, Seniors, Human Services Levy and receive funding from the State of Washington, labor unions and community foundations. We want to make finding licensed, compassionate home care easy, so you can focus on what’s important - caring for those you love.

We also help the hard working people who provide homecare. In partnership with social service agencies and labor unions, we bring good jobs to homecare workers, so they can focus on their passion - caring for others.
